About Me
red@ops:~/$ whoami
-> Known as BaeSenseii (used to be called xxbaemaxx, but it kinda sounds dumb)
-> "Once a techie, always a technie"
-> Worked in the cybersecurity industry, now an academic teaching cybersecurity.
-> Constantly reading up on new tech, and their flaws :)
This is quite frankly my first time blogging and recording my research content (after procrastinating for so long). I am mainly focusing on CTF challenges, and also other stuffs/thoughts on other matters (maybe cybersecurity specific, could be pedagogy specific too, so… :))
To navigate, feel free to look on the left hand sidebar (under ‘Explorer/ctfs’) for more information.
If you can’t see the sidebar, zoom out of your web browser (80% worked for me).
Overview of Post Updates (latest above)
Date | Post | Summary |
---|---|---|
2025-03-21 | Bringing back the old school: Good ol’ Attack-Defense CTF Environments | Kinda miss the old days of doing an Attack-Defense CTF, till I even end up building my first ever tool to deploy an Attack Defense Platform using ZeroTier SDN and Vagrant. |
2025-03-04 | Kernel Exploitation Setup with Vagrant and VSCode | Discovered a new and much simpler way of setting up a Kernel Exploitation Environment with Vagrant and Visual Studio Code. |
2025-01-12 | Multi Cloud Red Team Analyst Certification by CyberWarfare Labs | Just another quick review on the MCRTA certification that I took last year by CyberWarfareLabs. |
2024-11-03 | Certified Red Team Professional by Altered Security Content Review | It’s kind of my first time doing feedback regarding courses, and for today I have the CRTP certification course that I will be reviewing, along with my experience and feedback while going through it. |
2024-10-14 | The InfoSecurity Challenge 2024 | From 13th to 29th September 2024, I decided to take a leap of technical faith by participating in one of the most gruelling CTF competitions in Singapore known as The InfoSecurity Challenge (TISC) 2024 organized by CSIT. To be honest, I didn’t really expect much because I was just there for the experience. |
2022-12-10 | GovTech Stack The Flags CTF 2022 | (Past post from my old blog) This was probably one of the first CTFs that inspired me to create a writeup post (mainly because i had first blood on this challenge). |
Baesenseii’s Gurus :)
I wouldn’t be able to deep dive and explore into writing technical blogs if not for these peeps:
- my ctf buddy / korkor / masterr, @0wl
- pwn guru 1, @elma
- pwn guru 2, @kaligula_armblessed
Baesenseii’s Kohais :)
I’m glad that I managed to inspire some of my students to start writing technical blogs, such as the following:
